Portage brothers charged in bank robbery
PORTAGE, Mich. (WZZM) - Two Portage brothers have been charged for a bank robbery earlier this week.
On Monday, the Fifth Third branch in the 8900 block of Portage Road was robbed by two men wearing masks armed with handguns. They fled with an undetermined amount of cash, but police arrested them a short distance from the scene in the West Lake Nature area.
Thursday Adam Ely, 30, and Even Ely, 25, were arraigned on charges of Bank Robbery, Felonious Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during a Felony. They are both being held in the Kalamazoo County Jail on $100,000 bonds.
