PORTER TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- Three people are dead after a one-car crash in Van Buren County.

The driver, Brandon Mark Vanwalbeck, 21, and his passengers, Andrew Michael Rambo, 15, and Hunter Jewel LaRose, 16, were all from Vicksburg.

Police say the crash happened at 94th Avenue and 28½ Street. The 1999 Ford Taurus had been westbound on 94th when it went off the road at a curve, crashing into a tree. It then rolled several times.

Investigators said the crash was reported shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday, but the engine wasn't warm anymore at that point, so they're not sure when precisely it happened.

The sheriff department says the Vicksburg Public Schools district will make grief counselors available to students on Friday.

The accident remains under investigation.
