Two Parolees Arrested in Kalamazoo Heroin Bust

Kalamazoo, MI: On 2-13-2013 at approximately 0730 hours, KVET Officers from the Community Outreach and Problem Solving Division, (C.O.P.S.), and officers from the Kalamazoo Metro Swat Team, executed a search warrant in the 3100 block of Crystal Lane in Oshtemo Township. The search warrant stemmed from tips from concerned citizens’ that drug trafficking had been occurring there.

Officers executed the search warrant and located a large amount of heroin having a street value of over $3000, several scales, packaging equipment, and marijuana. The suspect, a 28 year old Kalamazoo man, is on parole with the Kalamazoo County Parole Office and had an outstanding warrant for violating his parole. He was arrested on the charges of Possession With Intent To Deliver Heroin, Maintaining a Drug House, and on the parole warrant.

A 37 year old Kalamazoo man, who was also on parole with the Kalamazoo County Parole Office, was found inside and arrested on a parole hold. Two other subjects found in the home, both female suspects, one 24 and the other 21, will be facing charges in the near future. Both arrestees are currently lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
