My Town: Dogs surprise home intruders

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich.—A homeowner’s dogs are being credited for foiling an early morning robbery.

It happened around 4:15 a.m. Monday in the 10000 block of Cadet Lane in Oshtemo Township.  Investigators say the dogs woke up their owner after hearing intruders.  The man found his back sliding glass door open and his furniture had been moved.  The suspects had already run away.

K9s with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office tried to sniff out the suspects, but could not locate them. Anyone with information in this case is asked to call authorities at (269) 383-8748 or Silent Observer at (269) 343-2100.
