Police search for armed robbery suspect

KALAMAZOO, Mich.--  Police believe two Kalamazoo men are responsible for at least three armed robberies in just as many days.

Officers are still looking for Stanley Allen Rice, 39, who faces three counts of armed robbery and one count of resisting and obstructing police.  A second suspect, Aquarius Walker, was arrested after falling into the Kalamazoo River while trying to run away from officers following a robbery.  Walker is charged with two counts of armed robbery, breaking and entering a building, being an accessory after a crime, fleeing and eluding and resisting and obstructing police.

Police believe both men may be responsible for the robbery of 812 Shoppers Lane in Parchment around 1:30 Tuesday, as well as the robbery of Sunny Mart in Kalamazoo three hours earlier.   The two suspects are also facing charges for stealing cash from the Family Dollar in Kalamazoo on October 5.

Anyone with information about the crimes or whereabouts of Rice is asked to call Silent Observer at (269) 343-2100.
