Kalamazoo Chorus sings before Detroit Tigers game

KALAMAZOO - The Kalamazoo Children's Chorus sang the National Anthem Saturday at the Detroit Tigers game.

The Chorus sounded wonderful and they really impressed the Tiger management, not just with a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, but with how prompt and professional the children were.  With about 1500 hockey kids ahead of them - who were to leave the field before we got on - they called the children to the field suddenly and several minutes earlier than expected, telling them to "Go, go, go."   So 120 children made a mad dash down the ramp, tossing coats and water bottles aside along the way without losing formation and stepping onto the field so calm and collected that no one suspected that they'd just made a 30 yard dash!

The Tiger's were so impressed we had an invitation to return and sing again even before we'd even left the field!

The fans and the grounds crew were terrific - making sure the children knew how well they'd sung.
